FYI, I'e PMd Evo about bringing his jeep and also about the tent.

If he's the local copper too it'd make perfect sense for him to have access to a vehicle.

Well, what are the chances of that! I was only joking about having a bobby!
BTW, Girl Guides also joined in the hunt for the escapees - a step too far?

Evo's confirmed his availability for this, along with his Land Rover. He's happy to play a scripted role too, and has said he's happy for responsible others to drive the Landy.

Cool. We just need some players to book now.

Pete, if your 'character' is a well respected local figure - a farmer perhaps, hence the cottage and outbuildings - then you can move about the site with impunity, visiting search coordination HQ offering 'assistance' (and game liaison). You can offer safe haven to the escapees while telling the authorities that there is no need to search the farm as you have that area covered and searched already. Just gives a bit of logic and convenience to it all. If it all goes completely tits up and all the escapees are captured on day 1 then at least we will have you to hunt on day 2, your treachery having been discovered.

Sounds good. Just had a pm from Lardy and, I've offered him the chance to be a U-Boat captain, who is vital for making contact with the extraction team.

That's good. How about if we secrete a radio at his RV with operating instructions (he will have to use a bit of imagination as it is a PMR!) and code his transmission to morse then transmit (using the page button). Then alt least one of us three should hear it and we will know he has succeeded his bit of the mission. I suppose a reserve operative will need to be briefed in case Lardy gets nabbed (but I think he is thinking of toughing this one out so may be a bit elusive).

Definitely worth a punt. Gives you a chance to resurrect the Jedburgh radio packs!

Porta can't make the game as he is busy setting up a new 'Cold War' site with tanks and APCs. He is being made redundant from his hated day job so he had better make some money out of this new venture!

But he said if he was single and had the time he would be up for spending a weekend digging a tunnel and filling his trouser bags. Now there's an idea for a prequel...

Does he think he has to join in order to play? :slap:

I don't think so (but I have checked). If he does turn up I think he will be the first visitor from Scotland since 2007!

Chaps, in the uniform requirements we haven't given a civilian option for the Brits. Should we explicitly state that there is a role for non-uniform players if they want? It might open it out a bit for those interested.

Also, thinking about what we spoke about yesterday, is it sensible to have me as one of the evaders? It would mean it's really hard for me to keep in contact with you guys organisationally. Mind you, with Pete as the go between that shouldn't be an issue. Plus I suppose as the 'hardened SS' type if others got captured, Pete and I could hook up and the rest of the event could be searching for us.

I was hoping those who wanted to play Brit would have (or borrow) British uniforms. Those that didn't could play German escapees. And German escapees could wear civilian uniforms as a Brit once captured. As this stands it is the most inclusive game EVER run. If you think we can't get a proper British side together then gawd help us! I'd like to keep your option until much later when we get a handle on how booking is going. Very early days so far.

And yes, it makes perfect sense that you are the lead of the escapee group and I never see you until you are captured - they need someone with them or near them or holding a safe haven else it is bound to go to shit. Pete is the go-between - I can go to him or vice versa, you can go to him or vice-versa.

I wouldn't worry about linking up with Pete (that was terrible the Jeds got left on their own!) - it is best if you work separately until nightfall, then as you say, on Sunday you can evade with Pete if all players are captured, if not then they will need looking after.

By the way, my original rationale for inviting Josh on as a comp was that we could ask him for his loan kit in return. He has bags full of British kit doesn't he? That might make it easier for people to make the decision to attend.

I've just put up a kit loan thread. :good:

TBH I'm not sure what his Brit kit consists of, or if indeed he has any! Take your point though.
(It's just that if we are having to rely on Josh and 'his' crowd to get anyone to attend then there is no hope - I'd rather abandon the event than have a shit one!)

There are some of his people who I think would be really good. Only a few, Aitch for example, but worth the attempt.

It might also be good to be able to offer German and American players the opportunity to play Brit for little or no costs, and I've noticed a few people have recently posted about their reluctance to borrow kit from other players. :slap:

BTW, have you given access to the German section for the three who've already booked on? I can't remember for the life of me how to do it.

No, I haven't added anyone to the private part - you and Pete can control that group access. (User Control Panel - Manage Groups)

Had this off Gadge....

Also i meant to ask you about the next CIA game.

Evo really wants to go as a policeman and i'd like to be involved if i can. Thing is I ant move about much as you know so do you have any NPC parts i can play or help out with.

On the plus side i'd also happily take pics and do a review for Airsoft Action for you.

Let me know if i can help out either as an NPC or if you want it reviewing, even if i just came down to reivew i'd dress 40s british civvy so as to not take the atmosphere away.

And this...

i really want to support you guys and put to bed any bollocks people might want to believe that we dotn all geton.

The thing is i just earn feck all, as you know i get paid to marshall joshs events and if i could actually properly take part i'd not mind paying 30/40 quid for an event but when i cant really do much more than sit about the base areas its a lot of money to chat to my mates :)

I can move about for about 15 minutes at a time, more so without heavy kit but you know its a fecker otherwise :)

Not trying to be cheeky or on the blag pete just trying to be useful and 'pro cia' as best i can.

I mean if i was in someones 'squad' or group or whatever i'd massively slow them down and piss every one off but if you have someone who needs assassinating or a part to play that would other wise tie up a crew member/organiser or be boring for a player let me know.

I don't have a problem with it and, it's good publicity for both us and Close Action.
